About the event
Join South Jersey Preservation for a guided two-mile nature walk through Parvin State Park with Ecotourism Director John “Bird Man” Fox.
Explore the park’s wooded trails while learning about the wildlife and natural habitats of South Jersey - from raptors and songbirds to mammals, reptiles, native plants, and trees. John will share tips for spotting wildlife in the field, identifying signs of animal activity, and understanding how local species prepare for winter.
John brings years of hands-on wildlife experience and a background in horticulture, volunteering year-round with Tri-State Bird Rescue and the NJDEP to assist with the rescue of owls, hawks, eagles, and other wildlife throughout the region.
